Thanks for working on Freshy, I’d been driving myself nuts trying to figure it out on my own. :)

You’re welcome! I’m happy to release optimized versions of Wordpress themes. The only problem is that there are lots of them and I’m not sure which ones I should work on. It’s easier if someone simply makes a request. :)

    Yep, great work, Aylwin!

Aylwin, one more question. How’d you figure out how to keep the Gallery button on the header “sticking” on when you click it and navigate the gallery?

My Freshy doesn’t do that. Hmm…

You mean that it’s highlighted when viewing the gallery? You can see it in wpg2header.php. It’s just “hard-coded” there:

    < li class="current_page_item">< a href="/wp-gallery2.php" rel="nofollow" rel="nofollow">Gallery< /a>< /li>

Thanks, Aylwin! Btw, that is awesome styling for code you have there. I love it!

Thanks for the great work! I have a slight problem, for some reason in IE the images appear to be always on the right hand side, but in FF they appear in the center. (on the sidebar).

Also, any idea as to why only 1 image comes up, even though I have 4 selected to appear?

You’re right about the IE problem. I’ve updated the theme. Hopefully, the problem is now fixed.

Using FF 2.0 with Siriux Gallery Theme… the right column seems to be over the gallery. Same thing in IE, but in IE I lose the nice Borders that I like of Siriux.

    any help?

I am trying to use Freshy on my site but I get an error where the links should be, the error is:

WordPress database error: [You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ” at line 1]

Do you have any ideas as to what is wrong? I know next to nothing about PHP or SQL so I am at a complete loss.

After numerous Google searches I managed to fix the problem with the links on my site. You can see it now at http://www.seismictalk.com and the links are now working.

I have another question though, how did you get the gallery page of your site formatted the way it is? I would really like to get rid of the slideshow option but I can’t figure out how you have done it. Did you modify the Gallery2 template to get it this way? If so are you going to release the template?

    Thanks for a great theme!

    Hi all!
    Thanx for this freshy theme!
I just want to move my Gallery page in main menu. It’s always on second position, after my “home” page and before the pages I created in wordpress.

    Any idea?

I have been looking very hard to find a fix for my problem, but sadly, I can’t find one.

I have G2 embedded in WP using this Freshy theme. (http://autofotografie.nl/wp-gallery2.php)
In Firefox everything looks fine, however when I switch to IE the font is way too big.

The funny thing is, on this site when I switch to the Freshy theme… same problem! The font in IE is way bigger than in Firefox.

    Please help!

Sorry for the delayed response, guys. I don’t really have much time nowadays to maintain this site.

    bbrigg:
The Gallery2 template I’m using can be found here. I don’t have the slideshow option because I haven’t installed the slideshow module.

    elboletaire:
I don’t see why the theme wouldn’t work for WP2.1. I haven’t tried it yet though.

    mrseb:
The link to Gallery is hardcoded in header.php and wpg2header.php. You can change its position as you wish. Or you can remove and instead use the PageLinksTo plugin.

    Fred:
You’re right, I hadn’t notice this IE problem before since I don’t use IE. Unfortunately, most other people do. I’m hopeless when it comes to IE problems. It would take me awhile to track down the problem. What you can do is create a custom css file for embedded gallery. There are some basic ideas how do it here.

    Hi Aylwin,

    Thanx for your response!
I try to move the link to Gallery, but I’m a newbie and I don’t find how to make.
And with the PageLinksTo plugin I don’t keep the wordpress header.

Maybe I must modify this part, but how?

Thanks if you have time to answer, and sorry for my bad english, I’m french!

    sorry, I forgot the code:

hie there! appreciate it that you optimised freshy for wpg2.

noticed however, that when using IE and clicked the gallery link - the menu div, wpg2content div and footer div seemed not to be aligned with the header.

thot it was something i did. but then came here and tested out on ur dev server, and turned out that it’s happening here too.

has anyone managed to tweak with that? majority of my readers are using IE :P

  22. 22 fara

ok.. so after tweaking with gallery’s default themes - tried using siriux and the divs are aligned .. only the fonts are still larger than life (as it seems to me.. since i hate things not looking nice)..
