Important note: 12 August 2007
As of v3.0, WPG2 includes a widget. So this widget is now obsolete.
Last update: 19 December 2006
There’s seems to be more and more support for Widgets. So, I thought it would be good to have a widget for WPG2 image block. I’ve created a simple one and it’s still a work in progress so suggestions and feedback would be most welcome.
You can download it here: WPG2 Image Block widget (version 0.3.1)
Features:
1) Customizable block title
2) Support for single image block or grid block
3) Possibility to input a specific album or photo ID for the single image block
4) Possibility to input a custom CSS class
To do:
1) Check that the input ID is an integer. If it isn’t, return an error.
Here’s another nice looking theme called fSpring. Someone was having trouble integrating it over at the WPG2 forums so I decided to optmize it.
You can download it here: fSpring for WPG2
This is a neat theme called Refresh 3 Column!
Here’s my optimized version: Refresh 3 Column! for WPG2
Now that the Theme Switcher is working, I can start adding more themes to this site. Someone over at the WPG2 forums was asking about an optimized version of Almost Spring v1.3.
So, here it is: Almost Spring 1.3 for WPG2.
There are a lot of questions/problems about getting WP themes to work with the WPG2 embedded gallery. So, I’ve been testing various themes on this Dev Site. Now, I’ve decided it would be good to have a Theme Switcher so people can check different themes and see how they look with WPG2. Eventually, I’ll also add links to these themes so that you can download them.
Unfortunately, the Theme Switcher doesn’t work well with embedded gallery. So the main WP site looks fine but when you the visit the Photo Gallery, it may get messed up. Some modifications will be needed to the Theme Switcher plugin and hopefully we can get it working seamlessly.
Stay tuned…
UPDATE (10 May, 2006): It works now! Thanks to Ozgreg for making the necessary mods to WPG2.
